As a parent, I know how tricky it can be to find original, neutral, and affordable artwork for children’s spaces – especially for boys’ rooms. When I was decorating my son Leo’s room, I struggled to find cool art pieces that didn’t have scary oversized features, sad faces or stuck in outdated gendered themes. So, I decided to pick up my paintbrushes and create something special, inspired by my love of wildlife art and storytelling.
After years of designing for others through my textile design company, Breeze Studio, it’s been such a joy to focus on creating artwork that’s close to my heart and meaningful to both children and parents. At Lion & The Pear, every piece tells a story – whether it’s whimsical characters or serene landscapes inspired by my travels.
I often get asked where the name came from – it’s very close to home for me. The “Lion” is for my son Leo, whose adventurous spirit inspires everything I do, and “The Pear” is a nod to our house, Pear Tree House, where this little dream was born.
